More Week 1 Scriptures

These scriptures came to mind so I will add them to my week 1 scriptures. The importance of these scriptures will undoubtedly reveal themselves as the year progresses.

Genesis 2:18
Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone;

Psalm 37:4
Delight yourself in the LORD,and he will give you the desires of your heart

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.

My Personal Challenge

In order to grow as a Christian in the obedience of God, I am challenging myself to seek God's face through His Word. Through deepened knowledge and understanding of the Scripture, it is my hope that God will reveal His plan for my life. I desire to commit 3 verses to memory each week.

Week 1

James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Proverbs 2:6
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
